Entering May 2022, Jiangqi Group is about to celebrate its 58th birthday.

       No one could have imagined that when a Chaohu Gate Machinery Repair Factory specialized in repairing and maintaining gate machinery at the beginning, it would become the current Jiangqi Group, nor could a group of skilled workers from water conservancy backgrounds be able to start from scratch and use their own hands to fill in an indispensable piece of puzzle in the development history of today's magnificent Chinese automobile industry.

       On May 20, 1964, the repair shop was officially renamed Chaohu Auto Parts Factory. Three months later, the factory site was moved from Chaoxian County to Hefei.

       Four years later, this spare parts factory with only a few patchwork equipment and technical personnel and workers supported by various parties produced the first vehicle in the history of Anhui automobile, the HF130 light truck. As a result, the development of the automotive industry in Anhui has opened a magnificent prelude since the birth of HF130.

       By 1990, the national automotive industry had entered a low ebb period. In a desperate situation, the Jianghuai Automobile Factory made a very bold judgment on the market: the development of market economy will bring about the explosion of the passenger car market. At that time, bus chassis was generally modified from truck chassis, resulting in inherent deficiencies in safety and comfort. Therefore, Jianghuai Automobile Factory has proposed a strategy of "focusing on the development of dedicated chassis for passenger cars, and timely developing the entire vehicle".

       Saying "key" development is actually no different from "all in". If you have no money, sell the engine production line; If you can't afford to open the mold, use a hammer to hard bend a 5mm steel plate to create a chassis girder for ten passenger cars. Finally, Jiangqi's trial production team worked overtime every day and finally developed the first passenger car chassis dedicated to China.

       Through this dedicated chassis for passenger cars, Jiangqi Group has achieved a significant breakthrough in sales.

       1991: Achieved the sales target of 1000 vehicles;

       In 1992, the sales volume reached 5000 vehicles;

       In 1993, the sales volume exceeded 10000 vehicles, with HFC6700 (7m) passenger car chassis accounting for 80% of the national market share.

       In 1995, the sales volume of special chassis for passenger cars in Jianghuai reached the top nationwide

       In 1996, the HFC1061 light truck, which was then the world's leading Isuzu technology, was successfully launched

       In 2003, the sales volume of JAC passenger car chassis achieved "eight consecutive championships", and was rated as one of the most influential 50 products in the 50th anniversary of China's automotive industry.

       Jiangqi people seized the opportunity of the times and created conditions without conditions. With the self-developed passenger car chassis, they found the way to counter attack and started the "explosive mode". At the same time, Jianghuai Automobile Manufacturing Factory has also followed its own strategic deployment to return to the field of vehicle manufacturing through HFC1061 light trucks, creating a trend of China's light truck sedanization.

       Jiangqi's forward momentum never stops. In 1997, Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group was officially established, and was identified as one of the 12 key enterprise groups in Anhui. In 2003, Jiangqi Group established Jianghuai Automobile Engine Company and established its own engine brand Green JET in 2012. Its independently developed engine has also been widely recognized in the industry and market. Since 2009, a total of 10 engines have been awarded the title of "China Heart" Top 10 Engines in 10 years.

       In 2011, Jiangqi Group began to move towards the unknown land of new energy. The first batch of 585 new energy vehicles was launched on the market, becoming the first new energy vehicle enterprise to enter the private sector in China. Nowadays, the thermal runaway safety technology of high specific energy battery packs has taken the lead in making breakthroughs in China, forming a positive development capability of products with international advanced level. In 2020, new energy passenger vehicles achieved five major technological achievements, including cellular battery technology, million kilometer long life technology, high-efficiency silent electric drive technology, heat pump air conditioning technology, and electric vehicle OTA upgrade technology. Currently, Jiangqi Group has demonstrated and promoted more than 200000 new energy vehicles, with a total driving mileage of nearly 7 billion kilometers, and the maximum operating mileage of a single vehicle reaching 360000 kilometers, ranking among the top in the cumulative promotion scale in the field of private car purchasing.

       During the 58 year long process of enterprise development, Jiangqi Group has undergone countless changes. From the initial single point breakthrough of "focusing on the development of dedicated chassis for passenger cars and timely development of complete vehicles", to the current multi-point contribution of the "14th Five Year Plan" strategy of "making commercial vehicles bigger and stronger, focusing on the development of intelligent vehicles and intelligent new energy vehicles". Jiangqi Group has always made strategic arrangements suitable for Jiangqi Group based on its current development situation and future plans.

       At the same time, Jiangqi Group also has some changes.
